What it is: A thick, cold-pressed seed oil.
Why we use it: We use it for its weight and grip — it's what gives our oils that sealed-in finish.
Where you'll find it: Hair oils and the Chébé butter.

✦ Cold-Pressed Castor Seed Oil
Rich in ricinoleic acid — conditions strands, helps smooth the look of split ends, and is a long-loved choice for caring for the hairline and edges. The heart of every LB blend.
✦ Cold-Pressed Hemp Seed Oil
A near-perfect 3:1 omega-6 to omega-3 ratio plus gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Helps condition the scalp and hair and leaves curls soft without weighing them down.
✦ Cold-Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Squalene, oleic acid and vitamins A, E and K penetrate the cuticle to deeply condition, soften coarse textures, and restore shine to dry or color-treated hair.
✦ Jojoba Esters
Mimics the scalp's own sebum — restores shine without weighing strands down.
✦ Rosemary & Peppermint Distillates
A cooling, invigorating oil traditionally used in scalp-care rituals.
Peppermint is used in our mom formulas only. Rosemary is used in our conditioners detangling and deep conditioners. Neither is in The Baby Oil.
✦ Vitamin E (Mixed Tocopherols)
Antioxidant protection from heat, friction and environmental stress.
✦ Shea & Mango Butters
Slow-melt butters for elasticity, slip and curl definition.
