What should I use on my two-, three- or four-year-old?
Choose by need: Detangling Spray adds slip for knots; Chebe Butter helps seal moisture into dry strands and ends; Baby Oil provides oil care for hair. A child with fine hair may need much less than a child with dense hair. Review the ingredients and directions, and start with a small amount of one suitable product. Lavender Fenugreek Oil is also an option for toddlers and children; follow its label directions.
Is this only for curls and coils?
No. The range includes care for straight, wavy, curly, coily and mixed-texture hair, as well as locs. Choose the product and amount for the hair: use rich butter sparingly on fine strands, and avoid heavy layering on locs. Hair texture and thickness are more useful guides than ethnicity.
How should I use it on locs?
Keep the routine light. Cleanse thoroughly and avoid heavy layering that leaves residue. Start with a small amount of a suitable oil rather than coating locs with rich butter. Match essential-oil products to the person using them; these oil blends are not our baby routine.
